The Chamber 2019 Trade Show Preview

April 30, 2019 GMT

HUNTINGTON —Attendees of this year’s Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce Annual Business After Hours Trade Show will be looking to score big at the sports-themed event set for Thursday, May 2, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Conference Center at the Huntington Arena.

The 2019 theme “Sports! Let the Games Begin!” encourages attendees to dress as their favorite team or sports icon. A ribbon cutting will take place at 4:50 p.m. to kick off the event. Numerous door prizes will be awarded.

“One of my favorite aspects of this annual event is how fun it is,” said Bill Bissett, Huntington Regional Chamber president and CEO. “With people dressing up as their favorite sports team or athlete and decorating their exhibits, they are able to network and learn more about our business community, but also do so in a less formal and more fun environment.”

Participating businesses will compete in several categories, including Best Set Design, Best Ensemble and Best Costume.

“The Chamber’s Annual Trade Show is a unique opportunity to celebrate regional businesses and to show support for the companies that make our community a great place to work and live,” Bissett said.

This regional business trade show presented by Huntington Banks will feature more than 65 companies.

“Sourcing products and services that you can purchase locally is a valuable benefit of this event that showcases our region and further strengthens our local economy,” Bissett added.

Other sponsors of the trade show include Gold Sponsor Cabell Huntington Hospital, Bronze Sponsors Marshall University Athletics, Marshall University Career Services and Enterprise Rent-A-Car; and Event Sponsors Wal-Mart and The Herald-Dispatch.
