BETTY LEE DISHMAN AMIS, 90, of Ceredo, W.Va., was called to her Heavenly Home Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted at noon Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova, with Pastor Rodney Dishman officiating. Interment will be in Ceredo Crescent Hill Cemetery. She was a glass inspector with the former Pilgrim Glass Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ceredo. Betty was born July 11, 1928, in Wayne County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Thomas and Jetta Thacker Dishman. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Oley Amis, son, Max E. Amis, two grandsons, Stephen Paul “Bub” Amis and Robert Blake, and 12 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children and their spouses, one son, Steve Amis (Patricia), two daughters, Tammy Amis and Penny Blake (Richard), and a daughter-in-law, Kay Amis. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Richard Blake II, D.D. Frazier (Brian), Nicholas Amis, Beth Hazlett (Jeff), Casey Amis and Carrie Merritt (Shawn); eight great-grandchildren; and many precious nieces and nephews.
