CT detectives looking for help solving ‘horrific’ homicide

COLCHESTER — Connecticut State Police are hoping the public can help them solve a homicide from last May.

In a post on social media Wednesday, state police said detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad have been working on the homicide and are hoping for additional help from the public.

On May 19, 2018, state police were dispatched to the scene of “a horrific crime” in Colchester, the agency said Wednesday.

James Edward Thomas Stone Jr. was found dead at his residence at the Golden Hill Paugussett Indian Reservation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the EDMCS at 860-896-3201 and ask to speak with Detective David Bennett. Tips can be sent via text to CRIMES (274637) and including TIP711 in the message. Tips can be made anonymously.
