BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — A Vermont man has been accused of firing a gun at a park following a fight between two women.

Twenty-two-year-old Chadd Quirk has been charged with reckless endangerment, allegedly firing a shot from his vehicle at Roosevelt Park in Burlington early Saturday. There were no reports of injuries.

Police said the women allegedly had arranged to meet and fight in the park. At one point, one of them withdrew and went to Quirk’s car. Police said that’s when the shot was fired and the car left.

Police found Quirk’s car in South Burlington at the woman’s residence. They arrested him and found a .40-caliber firearm. Earlier, they found a single .40-caliber shell casing at the park.

It wasn’t immediately known if Quirk had a lawyer and a phone number couldn’t be found for him.
