Littelfuse: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
CHICAGO (AP) _ Littelfuse Inc. (LFUS) on Wednesday reported a second-quarter loss of $9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Chicago-based company said it had a loss of 37 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 71 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 37 cents per share.
The circuit protection manufacturer posted revenue of $307.3 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $271 million.
Littelfuse shares have fallen 10% since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 7.5% in the last 12 months.
