Waupun woman found dead at scene of vehicle accident in town of Friendship
TOWN OF FRIENDSHIP – A 73-year-old woman from Waupun was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash in the Fond du Lac town of Friendship, Saturday.
According to Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Office, at 7:45 p.m. on July 29, Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a report of a two-vehicle crash at the Kinker Road and Van Dyne Road in the town of Friendship. The caller said that one person involved in the crash was not doing well.
An investigation indicates that Henry Miller, 78, from Waupun was driving with Darlene Drews, 73, west on Kinker Road when the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign. Another vehicle, driven by Kevin Mueller, 40, from North Fond du Lac, was moving south on Van Dyne Road and struck the vehicle.
Mueller was transported by ambulance to St. Agnes Hospital with minor injuries. Miller was transported by Flight for Life to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center and his passenger, Drews, was pronounce deceased at the scene.
Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Van Dyne Fire Department and First Responders, Eldorado First Responders, North Fond du lac Ambulance and Fire Department, city of Fond du lac Ambulance, Flight for Life and Wisconsin State Patrol.
According to the news release, the crash remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
