Clear Brook rallies past Clear Creek, 9-8

Clear Brook scored seven runs in the fifth inning, rallying for a 9-8 victory over Clear Creek Friday afternoon in a District 24-6A baseball game at the Brook field.

Creek led 5-1 through three innings and 7-2 after four frames before Brook staged its rally.

For Clear Brook, Jacob Martinez went 3-for-4 with a run batted in; Aaron Ramirez went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Travis Watson homered and Anthony Benavidez doubled and drove in three runs for the Wolverines while Christian Whitehead went 2-for-2.

Daniel Burroway and Mason Muller each went 2-for-4 and drove in a run for Clear Creek.

Clear Lake dropped a 7-2 decision to Dickinson which scored once in the fifth inning and four times in the sixth in pulling away from a 2-2 tie.

Nathan Ingram pitched a complete game for Dickinson.

District 24-6A standings: 1. Clear Springs 2-0, 2. Clear Brook 1-1, Clear Creek 1-1, Clear Lake 1-1, Dickinson 1-1, 6. Alvin 0-0, 7. Clear Falls 0-2.
