Roush selected as Trooper of the Year
GALLIPOLIS, Ohio - Trooper Joseph D. Roush has been selected as the 2018 Trooper of the Year at the Gallipolis Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Roush, 28, was chosen by his peers and supervisors at the post for his hard work and dedication to public safety, according to a release. Roush also was selected for the post’s criminal patrol award and the division’s Health and Physical Fitness award in 2018.
He joined the highway patrol in 2016 and served at the Ironton and Gallipolis posts. A native of Gallipolis, Roush is a graduate of Christ Academy in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Roush and his wife, Lindsey, live in Gallipolis with their son, Carson.
