Style routines let celebs down
In our never-ending beauty bar crawl, my chums and I keep up a friendly competition as to who has a more elaborate routine to whack the mole of aging with the mallet of miracle treatments. For a while, Gremolata Bunion, of the Newport Bunions, was winning with her snail facials. Technically going to a clinic to have the little should-be-escargot slither across her face was a single step, but it did take a while.
However, Foccaccia Stroop topped Gremmie this week when she boasted about her 10-step Korean skin care regimen. “It’s simple,” she said. “Oil cleanser, foam cleanser, exfoliator, toner, essence, serum, mask, eye cream, face cream and SPF.” Foccaccia looks amazing, BTW, but I couldn’t let her keep the lead. So when we gather to spill the tea about T-zones, I will announce my 27-step Korean skin care routine.
It’s the same as hers, I just add naps and snacks.
Speaking of smooth moves, there weren’t any in this week’s red carpet stakeout.
Let me decide where to put this Beauty Spot, and I’ll file my report:
Tara Reid introduces the Granny Goth look — spooky tat frock with nice crochet edging by Nana.
How many sparkly cat toys died to make Cate Blanchett’s dress?
Chloe Bennet models the “Boudoir-m” — see-through lace in a schoolmarm style.
Looking for a dress that says “Meh, I came to your stupid party”? Este Haim has just the shiny sack.
BEAUTY SPOT COCKTAIL

A oz. dry vermouth
1 dash grenadine
1 tsp. orange juice
Shake all ingredients except grenadine in a cocktail shaker with ice. Put a dash of grenadine into a cocktail glass and then strain the rest of the ingredients in.
