Last minute touchdown gives Galaxy 10-17 victory over Dragons
BARCELONA, Spain (AP) _ Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Steve Pelluer connected with John Morton for a touchdown pass in the final minute Saturday to give the Frankfurt Galaxy a 17-10 WLAF victory over the Barcelona Dragons.
Barcelona scored in the first quarter when Dragon quarterback Jon Kitna tossed a 34-yard TD pass to wide receiver Tyree Davis. Jesus Angoy, a former backup goalkeeper with Spanish soccer giant FC Barcelona and the son-in-law of legendary Dutch soccer great Johan Cruyff, kicked the extra point.
Ralf Kleinmann kicked field goals in the second and third quarters as Frankfurt narrowed the score to 7-6. After Angoy booted a 26-yard field goal for Barcelona, Kleinmann retaliated with a 47-yarder to make it 10-9 and set the stage for Pelleur’s winning TD toss.
