Martin leads Chesapeake boys track to win at Wildcats Invitational
CANNONSBURG, Ky. — Ryan Martin of Chesapeake took high-point honors and led the Panthers to the boys team title in the Wildcats Invitational middle school track meet Thursday at Boyd County High School.
Martin won the 100-meter dash, the 200 and the long jump to help Chesapeake to 156 points. Raceland finished second with 118, followed by Ashland with 102, Russell with 74, Boyd County with 51, Wayne with 28 and Rose Hill Christian with 14.
Robin Isaacs of Chesapeake was the girls high-point winner after finishing first in the 100- and 200-meter hurdles and the long jump. The Panthers placed second overall, with 122 points. Winfield won the girls title with 236 points. Russell was third with 51, followed by Wayne with 39, Boyd County with 36, Ashland with 26 and Boyd County with 1.
