Charlotte A. Aarsvold -- Kasson
Charlotte Ann (Krause) Aarsvold, 85, of Kasson, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday morning, Oct. 21, 2018, at Prairie Meadows Sr. Living in Kasson, where she had been a resident in the Memory Care Unit.
Charlotte was born on Jan. 30, 1933, in Waseca. Growing up in Waseca, she loved to ride horses on her family farm. She was a 1950 graduate of Waseca Central High School. After graduating, she was employed as a key punch operator for 13 years at E.F. Johnson in Waseca.
On June 21, 1963, she married Milfred Aarsvold at Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church in Waseca. She lovingly dedicated herself to raising her family. Her grandkids brought much joy to her and she enjoyed teaching them about the Bible and praying with them. She was a member of South Zumbro Lutheran Church and served in many capacities with the Ladies Circle. Charlotte also very much enjoyed singing and playing hymns on the piano.
Survivors include her two sons, Joel of Kasson and Larry (Marsha) of Mantorville; a sister, Nadine Chadderdon, of Waseca; eight grandchildren, Kesley (Nick), Tyler, Ben, Jared, Ryan, Emma, Ella and Garret; one great-grandchild, Annabelle; two sisters-in-law, Lil Aarsvold of Zumbrota and Norma Aarsvold of Chatfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milfred; father, Ben Krause; and mother, Esther Krause.
A memorial service for Charlotte will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26 at South Zumbro Lutheran Church, 4830 120th Ave. SW, Kasson, with Pastors Eldon Simonson and John Todor officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the South Zumbro Church Cemetery with a luncheon to follow.
