2 WVa colleges to offer 7-year Doctor of Pharmacy program
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Two West Virginia colleges are teaming up to offer a seven-year Doctor of Pharmacy program.
West Virginia State University and the University of Charleston announced the dual degree in a news release.
Under the agreement signed last week, students would complete a three-year undergraduate program in pre-pharmacy at West Virginia State in Institute, then enroll in the University of Charleston’s School of Pharmacy.
After completing the first year at the School of Pharmacy, the students will return to West Virginia State to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biology. They will complete coursework over the next three years toward a doctorate degree.
