Astros 3, Twins 2

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) _ Mike Scott pitched six shut out innings to lead the Houston Astros to a 3-2 exhibition victory over the Minnesota Twins Friday.

The Astros took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning, when Mark Bailey hit a two-out double, scoring Terry Puhl and Rafael Ramirez. The Astros’ final run came in the sixth inning when Glenn Davis led off the inning with a home run. It was Davis’ third homer in the last three games.

The Twins rallied for two runs in the ninth inning off reliever Jeff Heathcock. Randy Bush singled and Gary Gaetti doubled to put runners at second and third, Bush scored on Gene Larkins’ ground out and Gaetti scored on Tim Laudner’s grounder to short.
