James named to Mountain West second team

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming guard Justin James has been voted All-Mountain West Second Team by the league’s coaches.

It’s the third-straight season that James has been named All-Mountain West, earning First Team honors last season and Third Team in 2017.

Also this week, he was voted All-Mountain West First Team by members of the media who cover the conference.

James led the league in scoring at 21.8 points per game. He also ranked fifth in the conference at 8.6 rebounds per night and added 4.4 assists per night for fourth in the conference.

He has scored 675 points this season and has scored 2,030 career points for fourth in Wyoming history and fifth in Mountain West history.

The Pokes return to action Wednesday in the conference tournament in Las Vegas against New Mexico.
