New Pollinator Habitat Unveiling in Lunenburg
LUNENBURG -- The Lunenburg Community Pollinator Habitat volunteers will be unveiling their new Pollinator Habitat sign at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 5.
The sign, created by Conservation Commission member and habitat volunteer Ken Jones, was made possible by a grant from the Lunenburg Memorial Fund.
The property, located on town conservation land at 123 Hollis Road, has the support of the Conservation Commission, as well as the support of local butterflies, moths and bees.
Ginny Albertson will provide an update about what’s been happening in the field.
Representatives for state Reps. Stephan Hay and Jennifer Benson and state Sen. Dean Tran will also provide remarks.
A quick tour of the field will follow and at 11 a.m. the Farming Beyond Borders tours will begin, ending at 2 p.m.
