Dairy Queen in Florence changes opening date

December 30, 2017 GMT

FLORENCE, S.C. — The new Dairy Queen at 250 N. Beltline Drive, Building A, Unit 10, will hold its grand opening on Sunday.

The store had originally planned to open Saturday, but will hold off one day. Dairy Queen store owner Riz Momin said the company will host an open house for its employees and their families Saturday.

Momin previously told The Morning News that he thought Florence was a great location to put a Dairy Queen and looks forward to being a part of the Pee Dee community.

“We are very excited about this town,” Momin said. “To be quite honest, this would be a great place to raise a family. This is a perfect town for a Dairy Queen and we just need the support from the Florence people and this neighborhood. I want to be a part of this community for a very long time.”

The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day of the week.
