Warrenville man charged in connection to armed robbery involving Graniteville man
A Warrenville man was charged Tuesday in connection to an armed robbery involving a 34-year-old Graniteville man at his Breezy Hill Road home earlier this month.
Sean Douglas Musiiwa, 20, is charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a weapon by a person convicted of a felony, according to jail records.
On Apr. 14, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 100 block of Breezy Hill Road around 11 p.m. and met with the victim.
The victim told investigators he was hosting a gathering at his house when his 44-year-old cousin pulled up in a burgundy vehicle, along with four or five other men, according to the report.
He told deputies his cousin came inside the house, claiming he was there to get his hat that he had left, but while his cousin was getting his hat, the other suspects robbed the victim at gunpoint, the report states.
The unknown suspects took $1,100 from the victim’s pockets before they, including the victim’s cousin, all got back into the vehicle and fled the scene.
Investigators also reported speaking with a witness at the scene who claimed to have seen the suspects get into two vehicles when they fled.
Following an investigation, police determined Musiiwa was involved in the robbery and issued warrants for his arrest.
Musiiwa was arrested Tuesday and taken to the Aiken County detention center, where he is still being held Wednesday afternoon.
The Sheriff’s Office has not made any other arrests in connection with the robbery at this time.
