Travel bloggers get weekend stay
The Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted 12 travel bloggers for the weekend to experience the vast richness of activities the Island has to offer. They were introduced to water sports, sky diving, sand castle sculpting, golf, boat charters and eco-life so they could write about it on their blog.
The bloggers were invited to come and write about their experiences on the Island.
In total, 53 people were accommodated as the bloggers were allowed to bring their family members to enjoy the experience.
CVB Director Keith Arnold said before the bloggers had even arrived, South Padre Island was already trending on the Internet.
“Travel blogging is a very serious business,” Arnold said.
The bloggers came from as far as Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Corpus Christi so they could put the word out to their communities and their readers.
The bloggers are a group of writers from the Texas Travel Blog.
