Owens plans to try to play, despite doctor’s advice

PHILADELPHIA _ Terrell Owens rarely gets shut down by cornerbacks. He isn’t going to let doctor’s orders stop him, either.

One day after Owens’ doctor said he would not clear the All-Pro receiver to play in the Super Bowl, Philadelphia Eagles head trainer Rick Burkholder said that Owens started jogging and plans to continue rehabbing his injured ankle in an attempt to suit up against the New England Patriots on Feb. 6.
