Drybar coming to Market Street in November
Drybar, the first blowout salon chain, is set to open a 2,331 square foot location in Market Street in November.
“We loved the look and feel of the outdoor shopping center,” Founder Alli Webb said in an email. “(We) were excited by joining the amazing group of retailers and shops.”
The 10-seat bar will be the fourth in Houston area after River Oaks, Uptown and Sugar Land and a planned location in Rice Village and joins blow dry bars Blo Blow Dry Bar and Lavish Salon and Blow Dry Bar in the township.
Drybar, founded in 2008 by Webb, was the first salon, and later chain, to feature only blow-outs — no cut, color or strings attached. Besides its classic straight, wavy and curly cocktail-themed blow-outs like the straight up, the Manhattan, the cosmo, the Mai Tai and the Southern Comfort, the Market Street location will feature a station where customers can try the Drybar-brand styling tools and styling products before buying them.
The location is the newest in more than 100 nationwide that will feature its signature yellow and gray color scheme, in-seat charging docks and champagne. The model, Webb said, has worked well.
“Focus on one thing and be the best at it,” Webb said in a release. “For Drybar, that’s blowouts.”
