Texans coming back to WV
WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — NFL star J.J. Watt and the Houston Texans are training at The Greenbrier Resort for the second consecutive year.
Between their July 26 practice and the final practice Aug. 5, the Texans will have 10 training camp sessions at The Greenbrier Sports Performance Center that will be open to the public.
“We’re thrilled to have the Texans back at America’s Resort for another year,” said Dr. Jill Justice, president of The Greenbrier. “We enjoyed the experience a year ago, and we know the Texans were happy with The Greenbrier Sports Performance Center and the work they were able to achieve while they were here. It’s a great relationship that we are proud to continue.”
The Texans arrive July 25 and have team meetings before their first practice the next day. They will practice each day from July 26 through July 29, before taking their first day off July 30.
Six straight practice days will follow from July 31 through Aug. 5. Another off day is set for Aug. 6, and an Aug. 7 practice will be open to media only. The team will then head to Kansas City for their first preseason game Aug. 9 against the Chiefs. Following the game, the Texans will travel back to Houston for the remainder of training camp.
