March 24, 2020 GMT

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in north-central Idaho say a 59-year-old woman died after the pickup she was riding in got stuck in snow.

Latah County Sheriff’s Lt. Brannon Jordan said Linda Pullin, of Moscow, was riding with another woman near Spring Valley Reservoir when the pickup they were in got stuck Thursday. The Moscow-Pullman Daily News reports the other woman, who was believed to be driving and whose name was not released, walked to an area where she had cell service and called her boyfriend to be picked up.

Jordan said the two then looked for Pullin, but couldn’t find her in the dark late Thursday night or early Friday morning.

The woman returned hours later when it was light out and found Pullin unresponsive on the side of the road.

Jordan said Pullin appeared to have died of exposure and may have had underlying health conditions. No foul play is suspected.
