Pee Dee Coalition to hold Men’s March Against Domestic Violence on Saturday in Lake City
LAKE CITY, S.C. – The Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Assault is sponsoring a Men’s March Against Violence at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lake City.
The event will begin at the Roses parking lot at 238 Kelly St., and it will end at the Ron McNair Memorial Library at 235 E. Main St.
The event will honor victims of domestic violence in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
This year, South Carolina was rated No. 6 in the nation for men who kill women with handguns, according to the Washington-based Violence Policy Center.
The community at-large is urged to support and march alongside the men. The event is meant to raise awareness about the issue of domestic violence and how to prevent such incidents from taking place and provide information to victims seeking help.
