Valentine’s Day proposal may land free Panera Bread wedding catering

February 14, 2018

Maybe you met for coffee on a first date, or it’s a favorite weekend lunch spot.

Maybe your sweetheart has a fondness for soup in a bread bowl, or a weakness for chocolate chip breakfast bagels.

And maybe, this Valentine’s Day, you are ready to pop the question.

Do it at a Panera Bread and your wedding reception menu may come from Panera - free.

The rules are simple, according to the company’s website.

All one has to do is:

- get engaged at a Panera;

- share a photo using #PaneraProposalSweeps.

No purchase is necessary, but the clock is ticking. It starts at 9 a.m. EST Feb. 14 and runs out at 11:59 p.m.

So if you are 18 or older, a legal U.S. resident and have an active social media account, check out the rules and you could be one of five winners who can cross off “pay for reception” from your wedding planning list.

Discount bus line Megabus ran a similar proposal sweepstakes, but, alas, deadline to enter was Jan. 30.

One lucky person may find him or herself bused into a romantic future on Wednesday.

And if you missed the deadline, Megabus’ Twitter account helpfully notes that it’s not too late to make special travel plans for you and your beloved.

Proposal optional.
