Girls Basketball |Section 1A quarterfinals: Goodhue 68, Houston 37

Goodhue made easy work of Houston on Wednesday night in the Section 1A quarterfinals, rolling to a 68-37 girls basketball win at Mayo Civic Center.

The Wildcats, seeded No. 2, built a 38-14 halftime lead and then never looked back.

Goodhue (22-6) was paced by senior center Lexi Lodermeier with 25 points and eight rebounds. Ten Wildcats players scored. Houston, which finished 16-11, got 16 points from Alyssa Rostad.

Goodhue plays No. 3 seed Hayfield at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Mayo Civic Auditorium.
