The River Hawks (20-12, 8-0 league) secured their third straight 20-win season and remained undefeated in America East action in the midst of a 12-game win streak.

“These were three good games and Binghamton kept fighting right to the end,” said head coach Danielle Henderson. “I just thought we’ve been holding our composure and getting out there wanting to win.”

In addition to Harding jacking her fifth long ball of the season, sophomores Maria Moccio (Feeding Hills) and Sara Siteman (Hudson, N.H.) each added one of their own in the contest. Junior Courtney Cashman (Danvers) walked three times to put her just one shy of the program’s record for free passes in a season. In the circle, senior Kaysee Talcik (Shelton, Conn.) earned her seventh win, while sophomore Lovina Capria (Deltona, Fla.) picked up her first save, as the duo combined for four strikeouts.

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine baseball team picked up its fourth consecutive victory and improved its home record to 5-1 and conference record to 6-5 with a 5-1 victory to sweep the three-game series over UMass Lowell.

Cody Laweryson (2-3) earned his second victory of the season, scattering four hits over seven innings, not allowing a run while striking out eight and walking just one. Nicholas Sinacola pitched the final two innings, giving up just one unearned run while striking out two.

Laweryson has struck out at least seven batters in each of his last three outings. In that timespan, Laweryson has posted a 1.66 ERA in 21.2 innings, allowing just 17 hits and striking out 27. He’s also just allowed just one extra-base hit in his last three games.
