Duo Transcend redeems fall on ‘America’s Got Talent’
Duo Transcend, comprised of Huntington native Mary Ellen Wolfe-Nielsen and her husband, Tyce Nielsen, performed on “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday, successfully executing an aerial trapeze routine after previously suffering a fall on the show.
The couple’s previous performance ended with Wolfe-Nielsen’s ankles slipping through her husband’s hands, but they advanced to this round due to their impressive display.
Judge Heidi Klum said Tuesday’s act was “hands down, one of the best performances of the night.”
The fate of the cirque aerial couple is in the hands of voters nationwide and the results will be revealed Wednesday night. Seven of the 12 acts that performed Tuesday will advance to the semifinals, which will air live on Sept. 4, 5, 11 and 12.
Voting began just after the episode aired Tuesday night and will be open until 7 a.m. Wednesday on the NBC website or the “America’s Got Talent” app.
