Durham woman removed from flight from Vegas, claims daughter’s seat had vomit on it
A Durham woman was arrested and removed from a Frontier Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Raleigh-Durham airport last Friday after, she said, her daughter’s seat had vomit on it.
Another passenger on the flight, Chalz Walls of Garner, shared video of the arrest with WRAL News.
The angry mother, in handcuffs, asked, “Are they going to try to arrest me because they had throw-up on the plane?”
Las Vegas station KTNV identified the woman as Rosetta Swinney.
In the video shared by Walls, a child is audibly crying, saying, “I’m 14.” The mother looks over her shoulder and asks someone to look after her daughter.
In a post to Facebook, passenger Nikki Nickole said the flight was already delayed before passengers were allowed to board.
In a statement to KTNV, Frontier Airlines said that flight attendants apologized and offered Swinney and her daughter different seats.
“The daughter was also offered cleaning products and invited to use the lavatory to wash up,” the statement said. “The mother was unsatisfied with the response and became disruptive.”
Nickole and Walls said flight attendants asked the woman to clean up the mess and never offered her one of the other empty seats on the plane.
