Former camp counselor faces possible indictment for assault
GLOUCESTER, Mass. (AP) — A former counselor at a Massachusetts camp for children charged with indecent assault of a camper now faces possible indictment.
Christopher Brayton-Tedesco faces three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child. The Gloucester Daily Times reports he was found dangerous in September, but was not detained as long as he wears a GPS bracelet.
Brayton-Tedesco was in court Monday for a status hearing.
Authorities allege the Gloucester man assaulted a child during his time as a counselor at Camp Spindrift YMCA this past summer.
An indictment would shift the case to Salem Superior Court, where Brayton-Tedesco could be sentenced to up to 10 years for each count.
The suspect’s attorney did not respond to requests for comment.
