Hartsville man dies in Friday Timmonsville shooting
FLORENCE, S.C. -- A Hartsville man wounded in a Timmonsville shooting Friday afternoon has died.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified the victim as Eddie Darling, 56. His body has been sent to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston for an autopsy, according to the coroner’s release.
The 4 p.m. shooting happened when a suspect shot into a vehicle at the intersection of US 76 and Alligator Road. One occupant of the vehicle was hit by gunfire and was later pronounced dead at a Florence area hospital, according to a release issued by the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
The Florence County Coroner’s Officer hasn’t released the identity of the shooting victim.
