Letter: Replace the ninnies

November 1, 2018

Dear editor,

To my mind, party labels are not that important; the question is whether the political entity which has brought Connecticut down to its present financial state, and served up a deeply unpopular governor widely regarded an an incompetent ninny whose main “achievements” have been driving major businesses away and also chasing our largest individual taxpayers to other states, deserves to continue in power.

In 1940, Leo Amery, M.P, spoke with respect to Britain’s perilous state and another, probably even worse, ninny in control, Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, fresh back from the farce of Munich. Amery said, in words I find perfect for the hapless Democratic machine and our choice on 6 November: “You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, GO!”
