Pedestrian vs. vehicle collision reported in area of Gould Street and Garrett Way
An apparent vehicle vs. pedestrian accident was reported shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Garrett Way and Gould Street in Pocatello, according to emergency scanner traffic and a Journal reporter at the scene who spoke to first responders.
The northbound lanes of Garrett Way were closed from Gould to Moreland as authorities responded to the scene. A smaller SUV style vehicle with a cracked windshield and its hazard lights flashing was reported at the scene, according to a Journal reporter.
Scanner traffic reported a person with a head injury who was semi-concious and breathing.
The scene of the apparent accident is poorly lighted, according to the Journal reporter.
No condition report on the pedestrian was available as of 2 a.m. Sunday.
Pocatello police and Bannock Search and Rescue personnel responded to the area.
