Fire damages housing authority unit

Two families with the Tennessee Valley Regional Housing Authority remained displaced Sunday morning after a fire erupted Saturday night at Pace Terrace Apartments. Corinth Fire Department Lt. Gary Glenn - acting captain on the 11 p.m. fire — told the Daily Corinthian Sunday morning one apartment received heavy fire and water damage and a second had major water damage. The two units are part of 40 housing authority units located behind Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church at the corner of Gaylean Road and Bell School Road. Cause of the blaze has yet to be determined. Assisting firefighters at the scene were units of the Corinth Police Department and Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department.
