HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF: The editorial in last Friday’s Sun about the lack of maintenance in Lowell’s public buildings was spot on. It has resulted in the problems that we face now with crumbling buildings. Our elected officials and administrators are turning once again to the working men and women of the city to pay the price for their errors. it never stops.
UNABASHED, UNAFRAID: Is there anybody better at getting to the meat of the story than Michelle Malkin? She tells it like it is.
CLEAR RULES: Trump ends a temporary program and he gets criticized. Yes, all people from El Salvador were here on a temporary program for 17 years. They had a chance to apply to become a citizen of the U.S. and they didn’t do it. Now the program is ending. It’s temporary. What is it they don’t understand. They didn’t apply to become a citizen and that’s their problem - not mine.
GET A CALCULATOR: I have no sympathy for the mother who bounced a check because the child support wasn’t in her bank account. Learn how to balance a checkbook. I was a custodial dad getting payments from the state and my ex-wife and I had to stay on top of the spending. You should too.
SPLIT DECISION: Banning plastic bags might be a good idea for the environment. it’ll help keep the city clean, I guess. But what the heck was that City Council motion on front porches? If you can’t explain it in 30 seconds, you shouldn’t make the motion.
