Drug Take Back Day set
BRADLEY — The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Northfield Square mall center court.
The event aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of unused or expired prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
KAMEG director Chris Koerner stated, “The program is a success in our area due to continued public support. During the past two collections, officers have collected over 1,500 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs.”
The Take Back day is hosted by Pledge for Life Partnership in conjunction with the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Department and the Kankakee, Bradley and Bourbonnais police departments.
