Senior guard Davon Reed leads the charge as the team’s top scorer and three-point shooter, and he’s the key to an offense that ranks just 55th in offensive rating.Michigan State will undoubtedly be itching to avoid a repeat of last season’s surprising first-round exit, though the Spartans will have their hands full. Coach Tom Izzo’s squad is deep and talented, but also mistake-prone, ranking 278th in turnovers per game (14.2). Senior guard Eron Harris suffered a season-ending knee injury on Feb. 18, which should mean even more shaky offense. Never count out Izzo in the tournament, but because of the Spartans’ inconsistency, Miami gets the nod in this one.
