HUNTINGTON - Marshall University kicked off its holiday season with Herd Holiday on Thursday evening at the Memorial Student Center in Huntington, an annual holiday party for the university community sponsored by the Office of University Communications and Student Affairs.

The halls of the student center were decked in lights and tinsel for the event. Marshall President Jerome Gilbert and his wife, Leigh Gilbert, officially lit the Christmas tree on the student center plaza, where the Old Main Carolers serenaded the crowd.

Inside the student center, party-goers could participate in various activities, including Build-a-Bison and making get-well cards for hospitalized children. Participants also had the opportunity to get a photo with Santa Marco.
