Windsor man dies in two-vehicle collision on Charleston Highway

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle collision on Charleston Highway that left a Windsor man dead Thursday morning.

Charlie J. Buff, 70, of Grovers Road, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries he sustained in the crash, according to a release provided by the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.

This crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. in the 4200 hundred block of Charleston Highway at Cadle Crossing Road in Windsor, the release states.

Buff was driving a 1993 Chevrolet van, when he attempted to make a left turn onto Charleston Highway from Cadle Crossing Road and pulled into the path of an eastbound 1999 Dodge SUV driven by Victoria Boylen of Wagener, according to the release.

Boylen was transported to Augusta University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Toxicology results are pending for Buff.
