Former Creighton star McDermott traded again
The NBA trade deadline has put Doug McDermott on the move again.
The New York Knicks sent the former Creighton star to Dallas as part of a three-team deal. It is the fourth different home for McDermott in the last two seasons. McDermott was averaging 7.2 points this season with New York, playing 21.3 minutes a game. The Knicks had acquired McDermott from Oklahoma City last September in the deal that involved Carmelo Anthony. McDermott had finished the 2016-17 season with the Thunder after being traded by Chicago last February. After finishing his Creighton career as one of the all-time leading scorers in NCAA history, McDermott has averaged 7.8 points and shot 39% from three-point range in 238 career NBA games.
