3 charged in Madison cellphone store robbery
Three men have been charged with armed robbery of an East Side cellphone store, with one of the men using a handgun during the robbery.
Steven Gayden, 23, Aurora, Ill., William Thomas, 18, South Bend, Ind. and Doran Skanes, 24, Indiana, are accused of robbing the T-Mobile Cellular store on Jan. 12, with a .38 caliber pistol used during the robbery.
The charges were made by a federal grand jury in U.S. Circuit Court in Madison on Thursday.
If convicted, each faces up to 20 years in prison for armed robbery and a mandatory minimum seven years for using a gun in the crime, to be served consecutively.
