Deborah Sue “Debbie” Demaree, 67, of Madison died Thursday, June 8, 2017, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital. She was born March 6, 1950, in Madison to James Lewis and Helen L. Bishop Demaree. She resided all of her life in Jefferson County and was a 1968 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. She worked for several years at Dieken’s Bakery in Madison, at Clifty Inn and as a clerk for Wolohan Lumber Company. She last worked for PVH Corporation from 1999 to 2013 and at Bass Shoe Store in Columbus. She was raised in Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, and church. She is survived by one sister, Diane Lautrup of Alta Loma, Calif.; three nieces; one nephew; five great-nieces and great-nephews; three cousins; and several other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, who died April 11, 1991; her mother, who died June 2, 2005; two brothers, Randall Demaree, who died July 2, 1955 and James Terry Demaree, who died Jan. 5, 2014; her grandparents, Thomas and Lydia Bear Bishop, and Nathaniel and Zoe Demaree; and one nephew. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Episcopal Church. Inurnment will be in the Christ Episcopal Church Columbarium. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Larry Lynn Richmond, 57, of Bedford, Ky., died Saturday, June 10, 2017, at his residence. He was born June 27, 1959, in Bedford, Ky., to Orba Douglas and Loretta Horine Richmond. He resided most of his life in Trimble County and was a high school graduate. He studied computers at Ivy Tech Community College. He worked as a farm hand and at KOI Auto Parts in Madison until he became disabled. He was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Campbellsburg. He is survived by his wife, Karleen Marie Mello Medeiros Richmond, whom he married in 2007; one daughter, Jessica Skirvin of Bedford, Ky.; one stepson, Jason Medeiros of Madison; one brother, David Karl Powell of Kentucky; three sisters, Melinda Raye Richmond, Lydia Marie Cowan and Karen Sue Clark, all of Bedford, Ky.; four grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father; his mother; one brother, Wayne Douglas Richmond; and one granddaughter. A memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Campbellsburg, Ky. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Larry Richmond Memorial Fund. George Claflin Ricketts, 80, of Madison died Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky. He was born Nov. 27, 1936, in Madison to Walter Edward Sr. and Alma L. Claflin Ricketts. He resided most of his life in Jefferson County and was a 1954 graduate of Madison High School. He worked early in life for Williamson Heater in Madison. He served in the Army from 1956 to 1959, rising to the rank of Specialist 5. He retired as a purchasing agent with Rexnord Chain-Belt in Madison after 39 years of service. He was a fan of the University of Kentucky. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and yard work. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Helen Margaret Lauer Ricketts, whom he married Oct. 15, 1960; one son, Edward A. Ricketts of Dupont; two daughters, Lisa Reverman of Madison and Lori Whitaker of Milton, Ky.; one brother, Charles Joseph Ricketts of Madison; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, who died Feb. 7, 1985; his mother, who died April 18, 1978; one brother, Walter Edward Ricketts Jr., who died Jan. 30, 2016; and one grandson. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted graveside by Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion. Friends may call at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
