Deadline nears for voters to register, make changes

March 29, 2019

Voter registration for the municipal primary election ends a week from Monday.

According to a release from Allen County Voter Registration, voters have until April 8 to register or submit changes to their voter registration records. To register, voters must have lived at their current address for at least 30 days before the election, be a U.S. citizen and be at least 18 years old on or before Nov. 5, 2019. Voters also cannot be currently imprisoned for the conviction of a crime.

Those with a valid Indiana driver’s license may register online at www.indianavoters.com until midnight April 8. Voters can also check their registration status online at IndianaVoters.com or by calling Allen County Voter Registration at 260-449-7154.

Hoosier voters may also use a new full-service mobile app produced by the Indiana secretary of state that allows voters to register or make changes to their registration. Android users can search “Indiana Voters” on their mobile app store, and Apple users can find the app in iTunes from a mobile device or tablet by searching “Indianavoters.com.”
