Scottsbluff, state police destroy found blasting caps

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (AP) — Bomb squads with the Nebraska State Patrol and Scottsbluff police have destroyed 17 blasting caps that were found in a Box Butte County home.

The Box Butte County Sheriff’s Office responded to the rural home after receiving a report that 17 silver blasting caps had been found in a shed.

The caps were safely removed from the shed by deputies, who then called the patrol.

Troopers and officers used counter charges to destroy the blasting caps.

No one was injured.
