More than 5,000 customers without power across Polk County
It might not be snowing as hard as it was previously, but expect the winter weather to continue, which will likely cause delays in getting power restored to more than 5,000 customers in outages around Polk County.
Stoplights were out along Main Street in Cedartown and at the intersection at Highway 27 South at Walmart earlier this afternoon due to the power outages.
Treat any stop light without power as a four-way stop.
According to information from Georgia Power’s outage map, 5,320 customers were without power in pockets around Esom Hill, downtown Cedartown, Felton, Rockmart, Fish Creek and northwest Polk County.
Check back for additional updates if they become available.
