Lynx’s Reeve to speak Thursday in Rochester
Minnesota Lynx Coach Cheryl Reeve will be the featured speaker Thursday morning at a “Heroes Breakfast” hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester. The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Rochester International Event Center.
Reeve is a three-time WNBA champion who was named the WNBA Coach of the Year in 2011 and 2016. She also helped coach Team USA to a gold medal at the 2016 Olympics. The Lynx recently lost the WNBA Finals after playing a preseason game at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester in front of a near-sellout crowd.
According to a press release from the Boys & Girls Club, Reeve will discuss “overcoming adversity and leading a team” to three championships. Photos are available upon request.
“Her message will be passionate and inspiring, one we hope will bring the community together to support the mission of Boys & Girls Club of Rochester,” reads the press release.
Tickets are being sold for $10 apiece or $100 for a table of eight, which includes recognition at breakfast. Tickets are available at www.bgclubroch.org or by contacting the club directly at 507-287-2316.
