DETROIT (AP) _ Singer Eddie Kendricks was arrested after the funeral of former fellow Temptation David Ruffin and charged with non-payment of child support, authorities said Tuesday.

Kendricks, a member of the original Temptations, was a pallbearer in Monday's service at New Bethel Baptist Church.

He was arraigned Tuesday afternoon and was being held on $10,000 bond, said Nancy Mouradian, Wayne County sheriff's department spokeswoman.

The singer was notified before the funeral that sheriff's deputies had a warrant for his arrest for alleged non-payment of $26,000, Mouradian said.

Kendricks and his former wife, Patricia, divorced in 1975 in Detroit. He was ordered to pay her $25,000 plus child support for their son. In 1982, he paid her $5,000 after a judge sentenced him to 60 days in jail unless he paid.
