Day camp makes girls princess for a week

April 20, 2018 GMT

HURRICANE — Every little girl dreams of becoming a princess. This summer girls ages 3-9 will have that opportunity as Hurricane’s Arts in Action hosts “The Princess Academy” from July 16-20.

The day camp will begin at 9 a.m. daily, will conclude at noon and will be held at Arts in Action’s main studios at 2658 Main St. in Hurricane. Little girls will have lots of fun with tiaras, tutus, castles, crafts, tea and a ball. The day-camp will feature instruction in ballet and creative movement where girls dance in Cinderella’s Ballroom, creative arts where treasures are made in Ariel’s Treasure Cavern, and where music and dramatic play will take place in Rapunzel’s Tower of Imagination. The experience will conclude with a “Happily Ever After Ball” for all of the princesses and their family and friends.

“My daughter, Karsen, has attended Princess Camp for three years now and looks forward to it every summer. She learns about manners and etiquette, her imagination soars, and she makes the most beautiful keepsakes. This is the summer camp for your daughters,” shared Trinity Hanson, a Princess Mom.

The cost of the week-long experience is $175 and includes art treasures, a princess t-shirt and ball gown. Enrollment is limited to ten princesses per age group.
