Colleen Hofmeister -- Grand Meadow

Colleen Ann Hofmeister, 70, of Grand Meadow, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, at the Meadows Assisted Living in Grand Meadow.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage, Iowa, with Father Raymond Burkle officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Visitation Cemetery in Stacyville, Iowa. Following services, there will be a time for lunch and fellowship at the Columbus Club, 1403 State St., Osage, Iowa.

Colleen was born Nov. 19, 1946, in Osage, the daughter of Vincent and Pauline (Kemmerick) Hofmeister. She attended Visitation School in Stacyville and then graduated from St. Marys School of Practical Nursing in Rochester. Colleen lived and worked in Rochester most of her life. In 2011, she moved to Grand Meadow. A special thank you to Meadows Assisted Living in Grand Meadow for Colleen’s care and making her a part of your family.

Colleen is survived by her mother, Pauline Hofmeister, of Osage, Iowa; five sisters, Joanne Hackenmiller Popp, of Osage, Iowa, Mary (John) Pfiefer, of Hayfield, Jane Blake, of Bullhead City, Ariz., Donna (Russ) Welsh, of Rochester, and Rita (Lee) Johnson, of Clear Lake, Wash.; one brother, Michael (Kris) Hofmeister, of Rochester; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.
