Alzheimer’s Program Set for April 11
FITCHBURG -- Research has clearly shown that staying active is a powerful way to manage Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.
To provide those living with mild Alzheimer’s disease or a memory disorder with opportunities for social engagement, the Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter will host a free program on Thursday, April 11, at 2 p.m. at the Fitchburg Art Museum, 185 Elm St.
This free engagement opportunity is part of the Alzheimer’s Association Alz Meet Up program. It is intended for individuals with mild memory loss and their care partners. To reserve your spot call 800-272-3900.
Theater group runs ‘improvaganza’
FITCHBURG -- Riverfront Family Theatre inaugurates a new “Improvaganza” workshop: “Me TV” at FATV, open to children age 8 and up (or RFT alums of any age). If your child has a sense of humor, good listening skills, and a willingness to learn come join us.
“Me TV” will meet 4-5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, and at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9 at FATV, 176 Laurel St. (next to Rollstone Bridge), Fitchburg.
“We’ll work on characters, commercials, interviews, and different fun situations,” said RFT Director Sally Cragin. “We are fortunate to be able to perform on acclaimed local talk show, ‘Barbara And You.’” Spaces are limited.
